Instructions
📝 Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare the Steaks
Remove steaks from the fridge 20–30 minutes before cooking to bring to room temperature. Pat dry with paper towels. Rub with olive oil and season evenly with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
Step 2: Preheat Air Fryer
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes. This helps create a good sear.
Step 3: Cook the Steak
Place steaks in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook at 400°F:
- 8–10 minutes for medium rare
- 10–12 minutes for medium
- 12–14 minutes for well done
Flip halfway through cooking for even browning.
Step 4: Add Butter (Optional)
In the last 1–2 minutes, add butter, garlic, and herbs on top of the steak for extra flavor.
Step 5: Rest and Serve
Remove steaks and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing. This keeps them juicy.
Notes
- Use a meat thermometer for best results:
- 130–135°F for medium rare
- 140–145°F for medium
- 150–155°F for well done
- For small sirloin steaks, reduce cook time by 1–2 minutes.
- Marinated sirloin steak works great just pat dry before air frying to ensure a good crust.
- Ninja air fryers may cook slightly faster, so check doneness early.
