📝 Instructions:

Step 1: Bake Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round pan.

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

  3. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.

  4. Gradually mix in dry ingredients alternately with milk and brewed coffee until smooth.

  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.

Step 2: Frost Cake

  1. In a medium bowl, combine frosting, cocoa, coffee, and vanilla. Adjust consistency with milk if needed.

  2. Apply a thin crumb coat to the cooled cake and chill 15–20 minutes.

  3. Frost the cake fully and smooth the surface.

Step 3: Decorate

  • Optionally sprinkle chocolate shavings, cocoa powder, or drizzle chocolate ganache over the top.

  • For a more creative look, pipe frosting into swirls or rosettes.
