Ingredients

Scale

🛒 Ingredients (for one 8×8-inch pan):

Base Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed

  • 2 cups rolled oats

  • 1 large egg (or substitute with 3 tbsp flaxseed + 6 tbsp water for vegan)

Optional Add-Ins:

  • ¼ cup chocolate chips or raisins

  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • ¼ cup chopped nuts or seeds

Instructions

📝 Instructions:

Step 1: Prep Oven & Pan
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease.

Step 2: Mix Ingredients
In a large bowl, mash bananas until smooth. Add the egg (or flax mixture), vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Stir to combine. Gradually fold in oats until evenly mixed. If using, fold in chocolate chips, nuts, or seeds.

Step 3: Bake Bars
Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 20–25 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden and a toothpick comes out clean.

Step 4: Cool & Slice
Let the bars cool completely in the pan for 10–15 minutes. Lift out using parchment paper and cut into squares or rectangles.
