Crispy, golden chicken bites tossed in a creamy, sweet, and slightly spicy bang bang sauce. For the Chicken:
2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cut into bite-sized pieces)
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ cup cornstarch
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
2 large eggs
2 tablespoons milk
Oil for frying
For the Bang Bang Sauce:
½ cup mayonnaise
¼ cup sweet chili sauce
1–2 tablespoons sriracha (adjust to taste)
1 tablespoon honey (optional, for extra sweetness)
1 teaspoon rice vinegar or lime juice
For Garnish (Optional):
Chopped green onions
Sesame seeds
Fresh cilantro
Instructions
In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey (if using), and rice vinegar or lime juice. Mix until smooth and creamy. Set aside.
In one bowl, whisk eggs and milk.
In another bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Dip each piece of chicken into the egg mixture, then dredge in the flour mixture, coating well.
Heat about 2 inches of oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C).
Fry chicken in batches for 4–5 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature 165°F / 74°C).
Remove and drain on paper towels.
Place crispy chicken in a large bowl. Drizzle with bang bang sauce and toss gently to coat evenly.
Sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds if desired. Serve immediately for best crispiness.
Notes
Make It Air Fryer:
Spray coated chicken lightly with oil and air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway.
Make It Baked:
Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 18–22 minutes on a lined baking sheet until crispy and cooked through.
Spice Level:
For milder flavor, reduce sriracha. For extra heat, add more or sprinkle chili flakes.
