Step 3: Cream Butter & Sugars
In a large bowl, beat softened butter with brown and granulated sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla.
Step 4: Combine & Fold
Gradually mix in dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips and caramel pieces.
Step 5: Scoop & Bake
Scoop 2-tablespoon portions onto prepared baking sheets, leaving space to spread. Optionally sprinkle sea salt on top. Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are lightly golden but centers remain soft.
Step 6: Cool & Serve
Allow cookies to cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Enjoy warm for gooey caramel or fully cooled for a chewier texture.
