Step 2: Mix Dry Ingredients
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and optional cinnamon.

In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time, then stir in mashed bananas and vanilla extract. Add yogurt or milk if using.
Step 4: Combine & Add Chocolate Chips
Gradually fold dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined (do not overmix). Gently fold in chocolate chips and optional nuts.

Pour batter into prepared loaf pan. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
- Moistness Hack: Use very ripe bananas (dark spots) for maximum flavor and moisture.
- Chocolate Chip Variation: Try mixing half dark and half milk chocolate chips for richer flavor.
- Muffin Version: Divide batter into a 12-cup muffin tin, bake 18–22 minutes at 350°F.
- Make Ahead: Wrap cooled bread in foil or plastic wrap; it stays fresh for 3 days at room temperature.
