  • Total Time: ~35–40 minutes
  • Yield: 1216 strawberries 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

Juicy, fresh strawberries dipped in rich chocolate for a simple yet elegant treat. Perfect for gifts, parties, or a romantic dessert. You can customize with white chocolate drizzles, crushed nuts, or coconut oil for a silky finish.

Ingredients

Scale

🛒 Ingredients (for 12–16 strawberries):

For the Strawberries:

  • 1216 fresh strawberries, washed and dried completely

For the Chocolate Coating:

  • 8 oz (225 g) semi-sweet or dark chocolate, chopped

  • 12 teaspoons coconut oil (optional, for smooth chocolate)

Optional Decorations:

  • White chocolate for drizzling

  • Crushed nuts, sprinkles, or shredded coconut

Instructions

📝 Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare Strawberries
Wash strawberries and pat completely dry. Any water will prevent the chocolate from sticking properly.

Step 2: Melt Chocolate
Place chocolate and coconut oil (if using) in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring each time, until smooth. Alternatively, use a double boiler.

Step 3: Dip Strawberries
Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip into melted chocolate, swirling to coat evenly. Let excess chocolate drip back into the bowl.

Step 4: Decorate (Optional)
Place strawberries on parchment paper. If desired, drizzle with white chocolate, or sprinkle with nuts or coconut while chocolate is still wet.

Step 5: Set Chocolate
Allow chocolate to harden at room temperature for 30–60 minutes, or refrigerate for 15–20 minutes for quicker setting.

Notes

  • Choose Fresh Strawberries: Large, ripe strawberries with green tops work best.
  • Avoid Water: Any moisture on strawberries will cause chocolate to seize.
  • Storage: Keep in a single layer in the fridge for up to 2 days.
  • Creative Variations: Use milk or white chocolate, or add a pinch of sea salt for a gourmet twist.
