Ingredients

Scale

🛒 Ingredients (makes ~12 hearts):

For the Chocolate Shell:

  • 1 ½ cups semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips

  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother chocolate)

For the Peanut Butter Filling:

  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter

  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

Optional Decorations:

  • Sprinkles, sea salt, or melted white chocolate for drizzling

Instructions

📝 Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare Chocolate Hearts

  1. Melt the chocolate chips with coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.

  2. Spoon a small amount of melted chocolate into heart-shaped silicone molds, spreading it evenly to coat the bottom and sides.

  3. Place the molds in the freezer for 10–15 minutes to set.

Step 2: Make Peanut Butter Filling

  1. In a small bowl, mix peanut butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.

  2. Scoop or pipe a small dollop of peanut butter into each chocolate shell, leaving space on top for more chocolate.

Step 3: Seal the Hearts

  1. Spoon the remaining melted chocolate over the peanut butter filling, covering it completely.

  2. Tap molds gently to remove air bubbles and smooth the tops.

  3. Freeze for 20–30 minutes, or until fully set.

Step 4: Decorate (Optional)

  1. Drizzle with melted white chocolate, sprinkle sea salt, or add fun sprinkles for a festive touch.

  2. Carefully pop the hearts from the molds and store in an airtight container in the fridge.

Notes

  • Mini Version: Use mini silicone molds for bite-sized chocolate peanut butter hearts.
  • Dark Chocolate Variation: Swap semi-sweet chocolate for dark chocolate for a richer, less sweet flavor.
  • Make Ahead: These can be made a few days in advance and stored in the fridge.
