Layer Apples: Spread apple pie filling in the dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.
Add Cake Mix: Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly over the apples. Do not stir.
Add Toppings: Sprinkle oats, brown sugar, and nuts if using. Drizzle melted butter over the top.
