Instructions
📝 Instructions:
Step 1: Preheat & Prepare Pan
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
Step 2: Mix Dry Ingredients
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
Step 3: Cream Butter & Sugar
In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in sour cream and vanilla extract until smooth.
Step 4: Combine Wet & Dry Ingredients
Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in the chopped apples gently.
Step 5: Add Cinnamon Sugar Swirl
Pour half the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar swirl over the batter. Add remaining batter and top with remaining swirl. Lightly swirl with a knife for a marbled effect.
Step 6: Bake
Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Step 7: Optional Glaze
Mix powdered sugar and milk to desired consistency. Drizzle over cooled bread for extra sweetness.
Notes
Apple Tip: Granny Smith or Honeycrisp apples work best for a balance of tartness and sweetness.
Moisture Tip: Using full-fat sour cream keeps the bread extra tender.
Make Ahead: Bake a day ahead; wrap tightly to maintain freshness.
Mini Loaves: Divide batter into mini loaf pans for gifting or portion control.
