Instructions
📝 Instructions:
Step 1: Bake Cake Layers
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round pans.
Prepare the chosen cake batter following standard instructions (mix wet and dry ingredients, pour into pans).
Bake 30–35 minutes (red velvet) or 35–40 minutes (chocolate). Test with a toothpick for doneness.
Cool completely on wire racks.
Step 2: Make Frosting
Beat cream cheese (or butter) until smooth.
Gradually mix in powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until spreadable.
Step 3: Assemble Cake
Spread frosting on the first cake layer. Place the second layer on top and frost the entire cake smoothly.
Step 4: Prepare Vampire Blood Drip
Heat berry jam/puree gently with water and cornstarch (if using) until slightly thickened.
Let cool to room temperature.
Drizzle along the edges of the cake so it drips down like “blood.”
Step 5: Decorate
Optional: Add candy fangs, edible bats, or Halloween-themed decorations.
For a more dramatic effect, lightly dust with cocoa powder around the base to create a dark, ominous look.
