Ingredients

Scale

🛒 Ingredients (for one 9×13-inch casserole):

For the Casserole:

1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups egg noodles (uncooked)
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of cheddar soup (or cream of chicken)
1 cup sour cream
1 cup milk
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon Italian seasoning

Optional Add-ins:

½ cup diced bell peppers
1 cup sliced mushrooms
½ cup cooked bacon crumbles
½ cup frozen peas or corn

Instructions

📝 Instructions:

Step 1: Cook the Noodles

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Step 2: Brown the Beef

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef with chopped onion until browned. Drain excess grease. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

Step 3: Make the Sauce

In a large mixing bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, cream of cheddar soup, sour cream, milk, salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning. Stir until smooth.

Step 4: Assemble the Casserole

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Add cooked noodles and beef mixture to the dish. Pour the sauce over and mix gently to combine.
Top evenly with shredded cheddar cheese.

Step 5: Bake

Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until hot and bubbly and the cheese is melted and slightly golden.

Step 6: Serve

Let the casserole rest for 5–10 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm.

Notes

  • Make it easy: Use pre-cooked ground beef or rotisserie-style seasoned meat to save time.
  • Cheese swap: Try mozzarella, Colby Jack, or a cheese blend for different flavors.
