Step 1: Prepare “Dirt” Base

  1. Crush the chocolate sandwich cookies finely (food processor or in a zip-top bag with a rolling pin).

  2. Mix cookie crumbs with melted butter until crumbly and press a thin layer into the bottom of a 9×9-inch pan (or individual cups).

Step 2: Make Pudding Filling

  1. In a bowl, whisk chocolate pudding mix with cold milk according to package instructions until thickened.

  2. Fold in whipped topping until smooth and creamy.

Step 3: Assemble Dirt Cake

  1. Spread half of the pudding mixture over the cookie “dirt” layer.

  2. Sprinkle half of the remaining cookie crumbs on top.

  3. Repeat layers with remaining pudding and cookie crumbs.

Step 4: Decorate
