4 large eggs
¼ cup milk

1 tablespoon butter or oil
4 slices cheddar cheese (or American, mozzarella, or Colby Jack)
For the Rolls:
4 soft rolls, brioche buns, or hoagie-style rolls
Optional: 1 tablespoon melted butter for brushing
Optional toppings: sesame seeds or poppy seeds

Step 1: Cook the Sausage
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook sausage patties for 3–4 minutes per side until browned and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
Step 2: Scramble the Eggs
In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
Melt butter in the same skillet over low-medium heat. Add eggs and gently scramble until soft and fluffy. Remove from heat.
Step 3: Assemble the Rolls
Slice the rolls open without cutting all the way through.
Layer sausage, scrambled eggs, and a slice of cheese inside each roll.
Step 4: Heat & Melt
Place assembled rolls on a baking sheet.
Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 8–10 minutes, until cheese is melted and rolls are lightly toasted.

Step 5: Serve
Serve hot with coffee, fruit, or hash browns.
