For the Noodles:
12 oz egg noodles
1 tablespoon butter

For the Cream Layer:
1 cup sour cream
1 cup cottage cheese (or cream cheese for richer texture)
½ teaspoon garlic powder

For the Topping:
1 to 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Step 1: Cook Noodles
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and toss with butter. Set aside.

Step 2: Prepare Beef Mixture
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onion until browned. Drain excess fat. Add garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, and tomato sauce. Simmer for 5–7 minutes.

Step 3: Mix Cream Layer
In a bowl, combine sour cream, cottage cheese, and garlic powder. Stir until smooth.

Step 4: Assemble Casserole

In a greased baking dish, layer half of the noodles, followed by the cream mixture, then half of the beef mixture. Repeat layers.
