1/2 cup milk

2 cans (21 oz each) strawberry pie filling
Optional: 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Topping:
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional, walnuts or pecans)
1/2 cup chocolate chips or chunks (optional)

Step 1: Preheat & Prepare
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
Step 2: Layer the Filling
Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly in the bottom of the pan.
Step 3: Mix & Pour Cake Batter
In a medium bowl, combine cake mix, melted butter, and milk. Pour batter evenly over the strawberry layer. Use a spatula or back of a spoon to gently spread, but some strawberry filling may peek through — that’s perfect!
Step 4: Add Toppings
Sprinkle chocolate chips and/or nuts on top if using.
Step 5: Bake
Bake 40–45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the cake (not filling) comes out mostly clean.
Step 6: Serve
Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm with whipped cream or ice cream for extra indulgence.
