Ingredients
1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
2 cans (21 oz each) apple pie filling
3 large eggs
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons whole milk
0.5 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Caramel sauce to taste
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish thoroughly with nonstick spray or butter.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, apple pie filling, eggs, and ground cinnamon.
Stir the mixture until well combined and the ingredients are fully incorporated.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, smoothing the top with a spatula.
Bake for 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool slightly on a wire rack.
In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Drizzle the glaze over the warm cake and finish with a decorative swirl of caramel sauce.
Notes
Ensure your eggs are at room temperature to help the batter emulsify properly. Sift the powdered sugar before making the glaze to avoid lumps. Store leftover cake in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
