Ingredients
15.25 oz yellow cake mix
17.5 oz can large cinnamon rolls
1 cup whole milk
3 large eggs
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
Whisk cake mix, milk, eggs, and vegetable oil in a large bowl until smooth.
Pour the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.
Cut each cinnamon roll into quarters and scatter them evenly over the cake batter.
In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon.
Drizzle the butter-sugar mixture over the cake and cinnamon roll pieces.
Sprinkle with chopped pecans if desired.
Bake for 40 minutes or until the cake is set and golden brown.
Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Ensure the butter is fully melted for the best glaze consistency. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days. You can use canola or melted coconut oil as a substitute for vegetable oil.
