Designed for simplicity, this one-pot style dessert uses a pour-and-spoon method, eliminating the need for rolling dough. It is a reliable, crowd-pleasing classic that shines at family gatherings, weekend brunches, or whenever you need a warm, sweet treat without the fuss of complicated baking techniques.

Ingredients

Scale

6 cups sliced fresh or thawed frozen peaches
1.5 cups granulated sugar, divided
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tbsp cornstarch
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup whole milk

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, combine the peaches, 1/2 cup of the sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and cornstarch, then transfer to a baking dish.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, remaining 1 cup of sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Stir the milk into the dry ingredients until just combined.
Pour the melted butter into the bottom of the prepared baking dish over the fruit, then pour the batter evenly over the top.
Bake for 45 minutes until the topping is golden brown and the fruit filling is bubbling.
Allow the cobbler to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave before serving. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for a truly decadent experience.
