Ingredients
2 limes
0.5 teaspoon salt, plus a pinch
1 tablespoon green Tabasco
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon non-alcoholic tequila
2 lbs chicken wings (12–16 pieces)
2 tablespoons finely chopped cilantro
Instructions
Juice 1 lime into a bowl, ensuring pulp is extracted
Add salt, Tabasco, honey, non-alcoholic tequila, and zest of 1 lime
Stir in finely chopped cilantro
Pat chicken wings dry, then toss with 2/3 of the marinade
Reserve remaining marinade for basting
Preheat grill to medium-high heat
Grill wings 10–12 minutes, flipping once, basting with marinade
Toss with additional cilantro before serving
Notes
For sweeter flavor, use Meyer limes
Substitute sriracha for spicier heat
Omit tequila or replace with white vinegar if unavailable
