This golden-baked honey-infused bread is a family favorite with a tender crumb and crunchy crust. Using warm water to activate the yeast, this easy recipe delivers comforting sweetness and soft texture perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
2 cups warm water (105-115°F)
1 Tbsp active dry yeast
1/2 cup honey
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups bread flour
1 tsp salt
1/3 cup oil
Instructions
Combine active dry yeast, warm water, and 1 tsp honey in a bowl. Let rest 5-10 minutes until foamy.
Add remaining 1/2 cup honey, salt, oil, and 3 cups flour. Mix until combined.
Gradually add flour in 1/2 cup increments until smooth elastic dough forms.
Knead 4-5 minutes with mixer or 5-8 minutes by hand.
Grease a bowl, cover, and let dough rise 1 1/2 hours until doubled.
Divide dough into two loaves, shape, and place in greased pans.
Let rise 45-60 minutes until 1″ above edges.
Bake at 375°F (190°C) 30-33 minutes until golden.
Brush with melted butter while warm for a shiny crust.

Replace 1/4 Tbsp active dry yeast with instant yeast
