A warm, moist banana bread elevated with crushed Oreos for a sweet and crunchy twist. Quick to make and customizable, this dessert is perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
3 medium ripe bananas
1/2 cup melted butter (or vegetable oil)
1 cup granulated sugar (or coconut sugar)
1 large egg (or flax egg for vegan)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (non-alcoholic substitute)
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (or whole wheat flour)
14 Oreo cookies (10 folded into batter, 4 on top)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a loaf pan
In a large bowl, mash bananas with a fork until smooth
Mix in melted butter/oil, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract
Add baking soda and salt, then gradually stir in flour
Fold in 10 crushed Oreo cookies
Transfer batter to the prepared pan and sprinkle remaining 4 crushed Oreos on top
Bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean
Cool for 10 minutes before slicing
