Ingredients
1½ lbs ground beef (85% lean)
1 small yellow onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp kosher salt
3 Tbsp flour
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce (gluten-free)
16 oz tomato sauce
1 cup chicken broth
½ cup half-and-half
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
½ lb rotini pasta
Instructions
Heat skillet over medium, cook beef 8–10 mins. Add onion halfway; drain fat
Add garlic, salt, Worcestershire, and flour; cook 3 mins
Stir in tomato sauce, broth, and half-and-half; simmer 5–7 mins
Off heat, stir in cheese until melted
Cook pasta, drain, and toss with sauce
Notes
Use white onion if unavailable
Substitute oregano for Italian seasoning
Omit flour for gluten-free
Vegetable broth is a valid substitute
Add shredded Parmesan for extra richness
