Ingredients
1 pound lean ground beef (93% lean recommended)
1 cup gluten-free bread crumbs
2 tablespoons ketchup (low-sugar or homemade)
1 tablespoon mustard (yellow or spicy)
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce (alcohol-free)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
Brown gravy mix (store-bought, approximately 2 tablespoons)
Instructions
In a large bowl, mix lean ground beef, gluten-free bread crumbs, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until homogeneous
Using damp hands, form the beef mixture into four equal patties (1/2″ thick)
Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet over medium heat for 1-2 minutes until shimmering
Cook patties 4-5 minutes per side until browned, using a meat thermometer to ensure they reach 160°F
In a small bowl, whisk brown gravy mix with hot water until lump-free
Stir in remaining 1 tablespoon ketchup and 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Pour the gravy mixture over cooked patties in the skillet
Simmer 5 minutes until thickened, stirring occasionally
Notes
Use freshly grated Parmesan in the gravy for extra depth
Let patties rest 5 minutes post-cooking to retain juices
Brown gravy mix should be whisked with 1 cup hot water per package instructions
