Ingredients
2 (21 ounce) cans Strawberry Pie Filling
1 box (about 15.25 ounces) Yellow Cake Mix
¾ cup (1½ sticks) Salted Butter, melted
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
Spread the two cans of strawberry pie filling evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Evenly sprinkle the entire box of yellow cake mix over the strawberry pie filling.
Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the dry cake mix.
Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Look for strawberry pie filling brands with whole or large pieces of fruit. Cherry or blueberry pie filling can also be used.
Any standard yellow cake mix will work; white or vanilla cake mix are good substitutes.
If using unsalted butter, add a pinch of salt directly to the cake mix.
